The purpose of the Youth Incentive Program is to help assist a select youth(s) to have the opportunity to purchase a purebred ewe from a sale or breeder from within Alberta. By emailing in an application in any form wanted whether it be a letter, essay, video, artwork, any display of interest as long as there is a name, age, what applicants favorite breed is, and why they want/ deserve the incentive.

Meet Atley Stoney, our second-place 13 and under winner. Atley is 10 years old, from Sangudo. He is a member of the Cherhill 4-H Multi Club, and in his first year he did a prospect ewe project. Obviously he took to it, as he now has six sheep in his flock. He is shown here with his Canadian Arcott ewe lamb Sheep Trax Pyper 12P. Atley likes food names for his sheep, so he has already nicknamed this girl “Pancake”.
