American Blackbelly is a modern hybrid breed it is a hair sheep. Rams are typically horned and ewes are typically polled. It was developed in Texas by crossing Barbados and Rambouillet with Corsican mouflon. sometimes they are reared for trophy hunting but also kept for meat and conservation grazing.
